Meade Instruments 10-inch Schmidt-Cassegrain Telescope

This is a Meade Model 2120 10-inch folded optic astronomical telescope. It has a functioning sidereal clock drive so that it remains locked on a celestial object as the earth turns. It includes a finder scope, and accepts standard 1.25-inch eyepieces. Included also is a sturdy tripod mount and associated hardware, a suite of color and polarizing filters (see photograph), eyepieces 40mm to 6.4 mm (see photograph). A dewcap guards against accumulation of dew on the main lens. The telescope's orientation is established with standard declination and right ascension setting circles. A case for the instrument is available if desired. The telescope is quite heavy. If it is acquired for use by a child desiring to learn the sky, a parent will need to help the youngster locate the instrument.
