Female Puppy: 3-4 Months Old

All the details

We had some friends who got a puppy for their 16-year-old son. He didn't seem to care about it (apparently he just got himself a girlfriend), and they were just going to take it to the shelter. Being the animal lovers that we are, we agreed to take her home with us and try to find a better home for her, rather than see her go through the shelter system, where she will likely be fed too many different foods (which can make her ill) and risk the possibility of not finding a home. We had another friend who was interested, but they changed their minds (they would prefer a large breed dog). She is a smaller dog. We do not know what breeds, but we suspect a mix of Corgi, Collie, Chihuaha, and perhaps Jack Russell. She is a lovely dog who still needs some house-training and hasn't had her shots yet. We've been calling her "Abby," but it can be changed, as she really doesn't respond to it yet. We've given her a bath in Blue Dawn and Apple Cider Vinegar (she had some fleas, these are gone now and we're going to Pet Smart to get some flea treatment for her back as well as a collar to be sure they don't come back). She has bowls, a bag of Pedigree puppy chow, a collar, and a leash. She is currently here with our two cats and big Boxer dog, and she gets along with them very well in just the short amount of time she has been here. Both cats are bigger than she is at the moment, as she is still very young (one is 11lbs, the other 13lbs), so we think she's around the 5-7lb mark right now. The people at PetSmart think she will likely reach the mid teens to 20s by full adulthood. We don't really trust sites like Craigslist because we are afraid some idiot out there will get it in their heads to use her as a bait dog or to abuse her, we much prefer to give her to someone closer, since Galloway has always seemed like such a lovely area with so many nice people residing in it. We would really like for her to go to a great home, preferably with other, tolerable animals that will love her in return, as she can be full of energy at times.
