Heavy Duty Custom Swing Set Assembly FREE FOR PICKUP IN WAYLAND MA This assembly was attached between two trees that were 17 feet apart and the height from ground to top of assembly was 13 feet. It is perfectly set up for an identical application with no modification, but by shortening the 2 x 10s and/or by shortening the swing chains, it be reduced in size pretty easily. (If mounting in trees, as I did, parts are set up for tree diameters that are 18” or less. Larger than that and you would need to make new beam blocks to span the greater distance). All parts are visually weathered, but structurally sound. 1) Includes two 20 foot long 2 x 10s with beam hangers already attached. 2) Includes 4 pressure-treated beam blocks (2 per swing) that span the 2 x10s. Beam blocks have the heavy-duty hardware and swing chains already attached. 3) Includes 2 heavy-duty swings, one open and one with a belt clip for little kids. You will need new lag bolts to attach the 2 x10s to the trees (or whatever structural support you might want) and you will need new lag bolts to attach the beam blocks to the 2 x10s. (the beam blocks are already pre-drilled for attaching them to the 2 x 10s with your new lag bolts). My kid’s loved this for years and I used it myself just prior to taking it down last week to make sure it was still strong. My assessment is that all parts are safe and sound. However, I do request that whoever takes this be willing to sign a document that it is being given away “AS IS” and that thorough examination and safe reuse is the taker’s sole responsibility.
